A public defense of Master thesis was held at the Seminar Hall in the Technical Engineering College / Mosul. As a requirement for the degree of Master of Techniques (M.Tech) in Construction Materials Technology Engineering; a thesis entitled “Mechanical and structural properties of precast lightweight foamed concrete sandwich wall panels reinforced with fibers” was presented by “Hameen Abdulhadi Hamad”.
The study investigated the mechanical properties of lightweight concrete using foam and various types of fibers and contents of:
· Chapter one: Introduction to lightweight concrete and foamed concrete reinforced with fibers
· Chapter two: Literature review of lightweight concrete and its properties.
· Chapter three: The experimental work of the study carried out the properties of fibers, mixes used, mechanical properties and structural use of mixed chosen.
· Chapter four: The results and discussion of the experimental tests on mixes and specimens.
· Chapter five: Conclusions based on the results and discussion of lightweight foamed concrete reinforced with fibers.
The aim of study is produce of lightweight foamed concrete reinforced with fibers used as structural component in construction of shear wall in buildings.
After deliberation the thesis was approved with the adjustment requirements.
